Matilda and Simmi

The best way to describe this session was FUN! It was truly a joy the entire time Matilda and Simmi were behind the lens. Although, Simmi has been on a diet, so he was acting like the hungriest hippo you’ve ever seen even though it’s obvious he’s more than well taken care of. Luckily, I had two helpers on hand because Simmi was doing his best to drag Matilda all over the yard to find the very best grass. It was entertaining though and I think Matilda had a good time also. 

If you can’t tell from the photos, Mr. Simmi is only 14.2 hands tall. By definition he’s a pony and I’d say his commanding attitude drives that fact home. This 13-year-old loves more than grass, he’s also a peppermint fanatic. That came in a handy during the sessions so we could divert his attention from all the tempting foliage. It shouldn’t be surprising that Simmi has quite the attitude, and by that I mean he’s a ham. Matilda says he likes to do quirky things like bob his head up and down when he’s in the cross ties. It’s these silly little quips that make Matilda love him more and more.

Matilda and Simmi compete in hunter jumpers shows on a regular basis, but their favorite activity is simply spending time with each other in the great outdoors. Matilda loves fall colors and keeping with that she chose a more natural look for her session. I always appreciate when people are comfortable during their session and I think that begins and ends with staying true to yourself.
