5 Reasons to Print Your Pictures
This year, it is estimated that billions of humans armed with smartphones will take some 1.2 trillion pictures. We live in the digital age with social media sharing, pictures on our phones, folders on our computers…digital media is instant, short-lived, and quickly forgotten which is the complete opposite of the art I plan on capturing of you. These memories are precious and are to be recalled time and time again. I photograph each moment with that in mind so you know you'll have plenty of options to display.
The art we create isn't meant for a screen, it's meant for your home's walls. Still not sure? Here are 5 reasons to consider printing your pictures.
Digital Fails //
Did you know JPEG files can degrade over time? Computers crash, hard drives fail, and the cloud is even unreliable sometimes. Getting your images printed now ensures you are getting the highest quality version of your photographs. I ensure my prints are printed with archival materials to preserve and ensure longevity. As a client and as a photographer, I get so giddy when I hold printed photographs. Digital images are short-lived, and quickly forgotten. You just can’t beat having a tangible image to showcase in your home/barn.
You’re Not Looking at Them in Your Phone //
You can post them on social but after a few posts your pictures get lost in your timeline. You can keep them on your phone and show them to friends but then over time…they get lost in the camera roll. Putting your photographs in an album or on the wall will make sure you get the most out your pictures.
Albums Hold Valuable Memories and Stories //
Photo albums are kept, looked at, and talked about. They serve as a bonding tool for years and by multiple generations. Why have a coffee table book with pictures of beaches when you could feature an album of cherished memories.
Photos Aren’t Just for You //
What? Shocker! Printed images make great gifts and offer a way to share our loved ones with others. They can give us a way to feel connected with loved ones who live far away on a daily basis. Taking someone back to a special moment in time, you’re giving them that return ticket on that memory.
You’re Worth It //
You’ve spent countless hours with your horse and building a beautiful friendship. It’s time to make some art to showcase your bond. You will really appreciate having images like these to look back on after time has passed and life happens. I have one picture of my childhood horse Ajeeb, I wish I had more and had had the opportunity to capture more to remember him by.
