Remembering RC

Rainbow Bridge sessions are the hardest but oh so important. I was humbled to be asked to memorialize sweet RC before his final goodbyes. The death of a horse most often occurs swiftly and unexpectedly. We are left with confusion and all the while trying to process the heartache of losing a loved one. RC’s family knew the day was coming and wanted a few more precious memories to remember him by.

We spent the afternoon grooming him and getting him ready for his final picture debut. He got to meet the newest member of the family and give him his first official ride. RC was Aarons very first horse! Aaron used to work and ride at New Life Ranch where RC was. Eventually he bought him, and RC has been a member of the family for over 20 years. RC taught Aaron the ropes of riding, furthered his love of horses, and they have always shared a special bond. RC turned 34 years old and was lovingly called their grumpy old man. He was such a special horse to Aaron and his family that it only made sense to name their farm after him.

Rest in peace RC Senor Bonanza
